What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you place an order or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

1. To process transactions
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

2. To send periodic emails
The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We use a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider's database, only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

We do not use cookies.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Returns and Refunds

Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. Your must return the item within 30 days of your purchase.

Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.

Refunds will not include your shipping cost.

Exceptions

Embossed books may not be returned, and can only be refunded if there has been a manufacturer error.

No refunds will be given on parent ad materials and changes submitted after the yearly deadline.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

For those not affiliated with Harvard Yearbook Publications (HYP):

For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos (including pictures such as those submitted as "candids") and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you submit to us via email or by uploading to our website or computers.

For past and current active members of HYP:

When you upload or submit content to HYP or store content on HYP computers, you give Harvard Yearbook (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, or adaptations), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. This license continues even if you are no longer an active member of the Harvard Yearbook.
